- Secondary education. Key
Stage 3 & 4 (Years 7-11). At this stage of education
it is vital that the student be given every opportunity to develop skills and
concepts which he or she will need in the modern world. The pursuit of
academic excellence goes hand in hand with preparation for the issues that
have to be faced in the future. |

The staff is comprised of
fully qualified teachers from the UK and Spain. Their objective is not only
to enable the academic success of our students but also to ensure their well
being and to foster an ability to think independently and to have an interest
in learning. Students at this age are encouraged to take decisions regarding
their learning and seek solutions to problems which they may encounter in
later life. Secondary education may be
divided into two parts:
-
Key Stage 3. Years 7-9. The National Curriculum
provides the framework of our objectives in these years, Students continue
to follow the Core subjects of English, Maths, Science, French or German, History,
Geography, Art, Music, PE and ICT as well as the Spanish subjects of Lengua,
Sociales and Valenciano. -
- Key Stage 4.
Years 10-11. During these two years students are prepared for the IGCSE.
examinations (International General Certificate of Secondary Education)
set by the University of Cambridge and recognised by both the Spanish and
British ministries of Education. The School has had many
years' experience of these exams and our results are avobe the UK average. |
