Secondary Education
Secondary Education in the British System covers five year groups from Year 7 (students of 11 years old) to Year 11 (students of 16 years old), divided into two key stages: Key Stage 3 (Year 7, Year 8 & Year 9) and Key Stage 4 (Year 10 & Year 11).

The students aged 11-14 continue with the study of English, Maths, Science, French or German, History, Geography, Art, Music, Physical Education, Drama, Information and Communication Technology together with the Spanish subjects of Lengua Española, Conocimiento del Medio or Ciencias Sociales and Valenciano.

There are few changes to the subjects taught at this key stage although the number of optional studies increases.
The British Curriculum prepares the students during these two years for the IGCSE exams (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) administered by the University of Cambridge.
These official exams mark the conclusion of Secondary Education in any British School and are recognized by the Spanish Education authorities.

Alongside a rigorous academic education the adolescent students are encouraged and enabled to develop their ability to reason, to have a sense of well-being with themselves and their surroundings, to be able to take decisions and find solutions to problems that they will meet in their daily lives with maturity and responsibility.
